McLaughlin has been the leader in the the Bay Area and Silicon Valley for over 45 years. With expertise in commercial and multi family painting, complete building envelope waterproofing and carpentry, we look forward to providing you world class service that exceed your expectations.
Quality, teamwork, integrity, innovation and professionalism are all core values that Paul McLaughlin strived to achieve when he founded McLaughlin Painting in 1974. With only himself and a handful of other painters to begin with, he was able to develop systems and processes for training other painters.
For 32 years Paul grew McLaughlin Painting primarily staying within Monterey County market. During this time, McLaughlin was consistently voted Best Painter in Monterey County annually. His small team of painters morphed into 28 painters and three estimators specializing in Residential, Commercial and HOA Painting.
In 2006, Paul's daughter, Shawnie McLaughlin joined the team and became the commercial estimator for the company. When the economic crash of 2008 hit, Paul & Shawnie realized that they needed to expand out of Monterey County to keep the company healthy. Through her aspiration and innovation, Shawnie introduced McLaughlin’s systems for quality, integrity and professionalism to the Bay Area.
Today, we shortened our name from McLaughlin Painting to McLaughlin. This was done to better align with our expanded services thanks to both our roofing & carpentry divisions. We are pleased to offer services to the entire Bay Area and have multiple offices to provide timely response to our customers.
To this day Paul and Shawnie are constantly looking at ways to continue the company’s growth while keeping a family business culture. Their focus is to develop and promote from within and to provide growth opportunities for their employees. At McLaughlin, we believe our employees are our greatest assets. We contribute our success to the amazing leadership our employees exhibit both in and out of the field.
