Quality, teamwork, integrity, innovation and professionalism (QTTIP) are all core values that Paul McLaughlin strived to achieve when he founded McLaughlin Painting in 1974, in Salinas, CA. With only himself and a handful of other painters to begin with, he was able to develop systems and processes for training other painters.  Systems that are still in place today.

 
McLaughlin Painting was consistently voted Best Painter in Monterey County for several years running. His small team of painters morphed into 28 painters and three estimators specializing in Residential, Commercial and HOA Painting.  As services were expanded, we shortened our name to just McLaughlin to be more in line with the services we offer.  Today McLaughlin is proud to serve communities from Monterey County and into the Silicone Valley. 

In the year 2023, McLaughlin went through an ownership change, and even though McLaughlin went through this change, McLaughlin’s values stayed the same and is still a family owned and operated company.  The quality, teamwork, integrity, innovation and professionalism that has been achieved is still being achieved today through McLaughlin's new owner, Cesar Trujillo. 

Cesar has been in the construction industry for many years.  He specializes in light gauge metal framing, drywall installation and painting.  Cesar has well establish himself in the Bay Area with projects ranging from basic remodels to complete ground up work.  With his expanse knowledge and expertise he has been able to seamlessly transition within maintaining core values and expanding into general contracting. 

To this day at McLaughlin, we are constantly looking at ways to continue the company’s growth while keeping a family business culture. Our focus is to develop and promote from within and to provide growth opportunities for our employees. At McLaughlin, we believe our employees are our greatest assets. We contribute our success to the amazing leadership our employees exhibit both in and out of the field.
